Virtual Volunteer

The Galen Foundation dba PeopleBeatingCancer.org is a 501c3 operating foundation with a mission to foster social networking about cancer.  Dozens of studies indicate that interactive health communication leads to better, longer lives. I am looking for volunteers to help me research, moderate and post about cancer issues- both traditional and non traditional issues.   I am interested in hearing what you think about what content is on PeopleBeatingCancer.org and also how the content is presented.

Volunteer positions-

1) Researcher- 1-3 hours per week- ideal candidate will be a cancer survivor or caregiver. While researching content for PBC.org what I have learned has greatly helped me as a cancer survivor. Choose which cancer you would like to research- those already listed on the pbc.org site or those we will treat in the future.

2) Moderator-1-3 hours per week- survivors or caregivers contribute to different forums for which you will read, comment and  moderate- ideal candidate will be a cancer survivor or caregiver.  Choose which cancer you would like to moderate- those already listed on the pbc.org site or those we will treat in the future.

3) Blogger- 1-3 hours per week- survivors or caregivers write about topics related to cancer survival/caregiving- examples of blog posts from breast cancer survivor Mary-
